Information about Palmerston North Manawatu Event Venues
Caccia Birch House
We spend many week days and weekends throughout the year providing service and delicious foods to our clients at this idyllic peaceful Palmerston North Event Venue. Caccia Birch is a popular and versatile property conveniently situated in fabulous surroundings and overlooking the Lagoon.
While the majority of our work here is weddings (we have now completed around 50 wedding functions at Caccia Birch) it is also popular as a venue for conference work, business and corporate occasions or whenever a private location is required.
A typical Caccia Birch wedding
Guests arrive at 2.30pm to assemble for a 3pm ceremony. After the ceremony is complete guests are served drinks either through the bar in the Nannestad room or perhaps an outside bar to enjoy the afternoon sunshine. Once guests have a drink in their hands our staff move through the party offering a diverse and interesting array of mix and mingle foods which continue for an hour and a half bringing us to 5.30pm when guests move upstairs to take their seats and prepare to welcome the newly married couple into the dining room. The dining tables will have been set the evening prior in conjunction with my staff and the family. Once the wedding party is seated my staff will serve the wedding table their meal and the remaining guests will move through the self–help buffet and staffed carvery to select their meal. The wedding party will be offered second helpings and the buffet will stay open for those guests who would like second helpings.
The main course dishes will then be cleared away to make way for dessert either served in the same fashion or through our platter service direct to the table.
After dessert and speeches the party then moves downstairs for dancing and to the bar for a drink or tea/coffee served in an adjoining room. By the time guests are ready to leave, my staff will have cleared the dining room and moved any property left upstairs to a central table for guests to easily retrieve before they depart. Any table dressing equipment or leftover drink will be moved through to the loading bay at the rear of the house to be easily retrieved.
